About Mom Wald's Place

Welcome to Mom Wald's Place, that's me, Mary, Mom Wald. This is my place to share about some of the things that make me smile. If you have a passion for vintage goodies and a love for the creative, you've come to the right place.
I grew up with a family that loves old things and their stories. Almost every member had their own passions, and I enjoyed spending time listening to their tales.

It's amazing that it has been years since my first forays into selling vintage treasures online. Vintage items have a beauty, a history, and a personality all their own. It is always fun to learn new things and share information.
You will find Mom Wald's Place at fun places all over.

momwaldsplace@gmail.com for that personal touch.

Mom Wald's Place at Etsy where I have had a shop for almost five years with a 100% rating, and the best customers in the whole world. Seriously, all over the world. This is so much fun!

Mom Wald's Place is mom.wald at Ebay Again a 100% rating for almost six years, because great deals are a serious thing, fun, but serious.

Mom Wald's Place at Flickr If I had to use one word to describe Flickr, it would be "addictive". I like to keep my selection of photos selective and fresh.

Mom Wald's Place at Face Book This one is a work in progress, help is not only accepted, but really welcome.

Wow, it's more like Mom Wald All Over the Place!

Leave a comment, send an email, ask a question, or just say "hi!" One of my very favorite things is making new friends.

  1. Hi! I have pinned some of your lovelies onto my Pinterest board. Even though some may not have a watermark, Pinterest includes your blogspot source and people can just click onto it and it pops them right into your blog. Also if you put the cursor on the photo and click , it'll pop you into the blog.
You will always get the credit. It's good exposure for the "pinned". The terms don't allow the owner of the boards for advertising too much so I'd be careful on how to present items for sale. Also on you board you can put the link of the original source and they get credit. I think it's under the description of the item, after you've "pinned". good luck!
Diddie@citicasita. PS, it helps to put a "Pin It" button on your blog as well as the "Pinterest" one. So long and thanks for sharing.

  2. My first but certainly NOT my last visit.
I've been doing needlework since I was about 12 yrs old. To say I'm 'vintage' is not an understatement ! I recently taught myself to crochet as I'm a "leftie" and thanks to You-Tube, I've made many things with our local chairty group.
You've given me some new ideas and I'll be back to enjoy more of your great site !
Best to you and yours--Sierra Sue

  4. Hi,
I am wondering about your tutorials. Did you get any done yet? I am a rather beginner level crocheter, and wondered if you have any tutorials on crochet. Actually on how to follow diagrams. I love old potholders, flowers, doilies, but reading the blueprint is a little overwhelming! Have a great day. I am also in southeastern Wisconsin, Kenosha area.
    Hugs,
    Julie

    1. Good Afternoon Julie,
It is so nice to meet you. Thanks for visiting my place. The link to email you on your google profile is not working, so I hope that you get this.

Instead of doing some tutorials I spent my time moving to Texas. Yes, you read that right, we moved across the country. My new blog is colormehappyintexas.blogspot.com .

There are loads of great directions for crocheting online. I particularly like the tutorials on youtube. A couple that I have saved are here, http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC8B5CAEB103A233E&feature=mh_lolz , and there are hundreds of others.

      Have fun! Mary Wald
