Tilda Goes to Texas - Day 2

Who would have guessed that Tilda the Turtle is a "side seat driver"?  Here she is trying to tell me how to maneuver the Big Uhaul Beast.

Seriously, she hid and hibernated all  through five weeks of packing, and now she wants to run around.
Just like a kid, unpredictable!

At least she appears to be having a good time.  If she was scared, she would shut herself up in her shell.  Even she does not like the rough highways in Missouri though.
Here she is with her grumpy face.  The fries are all gone, and she did not get any.  This is Tilda in Iowa.  Not a very exciting place for a photo, but it was below freezing outside.   That is not safe for a Three Toed SOUTHERN Box Turtle.

Do you recognize the mat P. quilted me?  It is a perfect Tilda size.  (Don't worry, she was not out while we ate, even thought the toddler next to us was fascinated with her.)

We made it to Kansas City.  Half way, woohoo!
