Good Morning! Are you awake enough for a game of "I Spy"? See if you can find these vintage goodies on my kitchen shelf. Yes, there is carpeting. One of the annoying things with newer apartments is the carpeting of the kitchen table area in order to call it a dining room. Anyways...
Grandma's Red Fire King Salad Bowl and Aluminum Bowl
A riot of Printed Linen Kitchen Towels.
Hubby's White Glass Mixing Bowls
Bundt Pan from the seventies.
Hammered Aluminum Tray
Tray with painted roses.
Glasbake and Fire King blue printed bakeware.
The box on the bottom is full of gadgets and utensils that need holders. I am holding out for vintage containers to upcycle. The Bundt Pan has some small ones already.
Our herbs and spices used to be in a cabinet. Now that they are out in the light, they will need to be put into opaque containers.
These shelves are great. I have room to add stuff, and the wires hold up the standing trays.
I love these vintage picnic baskets. They are not in perfect condition, so when I paint them it will not be sacrilegious.
They are holding crochet thread and linens right now. Do you see the labels peeking? I need help remembering which is which.
Our friends were appalled when we got rid of our huge kitchen table, and even a vintage enameled kitchen table. I am thrilled with our little folding table. If a small vintage one comes along, that's great. If not I like the portability of this one. I can move it in order to spread out a quilt for layering.
We are a busy, messy bunch though, so I did cover the vintage cloth with a piece of clear vinyl. In fact, it is a cold, rainy, winter day here in Texas. I think I will use these vintage goodies to bake up some warm, homey goodness.
Stay Cozy!
Glad you are settling in...suek
