Vintage Majolica from Japan for my Silk Yarn

I do not know which was the better find, the vintage majolica style plate from Japan, or the yarn that looks and feels like silk.  The yarn is destined to be a skinny scarf.

Does anyone have a nice airy pattern or stitch that would show of the yarn?
The plate is a bread and butter with weeping cherry tree branches.  I have seen vintage jam pots from Japan in  this style, but never a plate.  It will eventually be in the shop, probably when I make the scarf, and do not need it to hold the yarn anymore.

  2. So delicate and pretty. And the yarn, you can see how silky it is in the pic - can't wait to see what you do with it.
