My new stash of colorful crochet threads is being put to good use. Is it a garland if goes straight up and down?
The little owl has yellow and gold in it, but the difference is not very distinctive. I tried a different owl pattern, but decided to make my own instead.
All three of the circles are different Japanese patterns that are floating around the web. I really, really like the bottom one. The flower within a flower design shows up really well.
Did you notice this vintage cup and plate piece by my crocheting? I have wanted one of these for a while.
This one is especially nice, because they used a coordinating salad plate that is not from the same set. Bouquets like these would be partially covered up by the cup, and I like being able to see lots of flowers around it.
It wasn't until a couple of weeks later that I noticed I had hung it literally next to a bread and butter plate from the same set as the cup. In my defense, where I usually sit one is hidden by the wood stove chimney.
Speaking of vintage flowers, here is my last piece for the 2012 Quilty Stitch Along. I have decided to do ten instead of twelve pieces.
This is the only one I repeated a color combination with. Even the basket color is similar to the other. That must mean that the peach and pink together is my favorite mix. Here is a Flickr Set of all of them.
Now I get to decide how to assemble them into a table runner with my Depression Era prints.
Yes, I have had months to think about it, and I still have not decided. All I know for sure is that it will not have any applique, Prairie Points, or curves.
Please share any suggestions you may have!
Love the little crochet garland! Your owl is so cute!! I always enjoy seeing what you are up too and your latest embroidery! Hugs, Linda
