Good friends make life lovely. "Dear N" shared some of her late summer zinnias, what a treat. She has convinced me to plant some next year. Such colors!
"Dear D" gave me this lovely vintage creamer and sugar set for my birthday. It was a treat just to get to see her, and then she came bearing gifts.

You will be seeing a lot more of them, because they are my favorite style of vintage pottery.
I am tempted to get this Johnson Brother's Frinton Pareek Plate out of the shop storage to display with the set. Roses and gold, they make every day brighter.
Today Little Miss and I are playing hooky. She worked hard to get her lessons done ahead of time and have the day off. I have no idea what we will be up to. Maybe we will find some more roses.
(If anyone has any idea who made the white jug, please drop me a line. It feels like a piece of Shawnee. It is unmarked, and I cannot find it anywhere. The daisy embossed on the front goes wonderfully well with the zinnias.)

Pretty zinnias and lovely roses on the sweet creamer and sugar. Good for you to get out and enjoy the day! We have a lot of "white" ahead of us, so it's good to enjoy all the colors of the fall.
ReplyDeleteI think zinnias are the most amazing little flower. I want to grow some next year also. Love your little cream and sugar!
