Blue and White and Summer, it almost seems too good to be true. All winter long. I dream of sunny summer days, and here they are. Even though it is beautiful outside, I stole some time from my "to do list" to do some sewing inside.
This is a simple light weight bag for a dear friend. It is the perfect size for notebooks and folders. When I received some small scraps of blues, I knew they had to be pieced together for her, as royal blue is her favorite color.
Some of that "to do list" was playing working with some beautiful blue accented vintage pieces for the shop. I particularly like to use melamine outside in the summertime. If it is pretty and cheerful, like this Melamine Platter even better.
When this Bareuther Coffeepot was on the table, I noticed how nicely the other pieces went with it like these Seltmann Plates and Saucers.
The other two are from Germany, this Encore Trio was by Johnson Brothers in England, and I am assuming the Blue Flowered Melamine Tray was made stateside. International blues just like my cow creamers.
Sometimes having the blues is a good thing!
