Orange Hull Drip and Daylily

It would not be summer without at least one Daylily photo here at my place.  Hull called the color on their plate "Tangerine", but I think it should be "Daylily".
I like the ridges on the back of the plate.  They have a line that has a few ridges, but I have never seen a piece in person.  Another thing to look forward too!  Life is a lot more pleasant when you appreciate little things.
The Tangerine is part of their Rainbow Line from 1963 to 1967.  Until this year, I had no idea they made  colors besides the "Mirror Brown" drip.  First I found these "Avacado" Mugs last July, and now orange.
I was lucky enough to discover some of the brown this spring, which I think looks like coffee when you add cream.
Right now the Tangerine Bread and Butter Plate is the only one available in the shop.  I have a pair of Mirror Brown French Casseroles, but they are not listed yet.  This is so much fun.

Orange, perfect for the first week of summer!

  2. I love, love, love orange daylilies, and they are indeed the perfect color match for that plate. We had those brown mugs growing up, in the early '70s. In fact, I think my dad still has some in his cupboard. Are they marked on the bottom? I seem to remember that other makers made the same or similar style in the brown drip. I haven't seen the avocado before, but those are cool too.
