Teacup Tennis Set by Duchess with Roses - available
I found my first tennis set! When I took it out to the car where Little Miss was waiting I was smiling so hard I thought my face might break. I couldn't help it! She knew something good had been found.
Helping people add to their collections is one of my favorite things to do. It is even more fun than adding to my own, because I love making people happy. I just know this beautiful set is going to make someone just as thrilled as I was when I found it.
Demitasse Cup and Saucer Set by San Claudio - available
Another first, a Vintage Demitasse Cup and Saucer Set by San Claudio. For some reason, there are a lot of cups in this area, but no saucers, hmmm. It is also the first piece I have ever seen by San Claudio, a company in Spain. Spain has always seemed so exotic to me.
Both Light Blue Hanky Groups - Sold
I am addicted to vintage hankies. Is there intervention for vintage handkerchief addiction? Confession, I use my shop just as an excuse to go through every bunch of vintage hankies that comes within my reach.
It occurred to me that I need to start listing some of my stash in the shop if I want and excuse to keep looking!
Then when I had them out to photograph I realized two things, first I have a lot of light blue accented hankies that are beautiful together. Second, these cups and hankies seem made for each other.
Light Blue has been on my mind lately. Perhaps it is these beautiful spring skies we have been having. Light blue skies embroidered with silken clouds.
Let's go see what is inspiring others on Tea Cup Tuesday.

Great photos and I love the vintage hankies with the cups! Great finds!
ReplyDeleteI love the tennis/snack sets. And they must have been shown in Country Living or Romantic Homes or another magazine as I've sold 3 this week! Who knew? Love the shape of the Spanish cup. I love hankies as well. A great collection and lovely photos as usual!

These are such lovely pictures! Your vintage hankies are so beautiful. I have quite a few from my grandma, and they are so nice to display. I love the color combinations on so many of these vintage items.

I like your collection of hankies, do you think we'll ever use them again? I have quite a few too and use them as doilies and never miss going through them at antique stores.

The tennis (snack) set is lovely. I think I prefer the term "tennis set" - it just seems so genteel and so evocative of a long ago time!
