McCoy Pottery and French Lilacs

Here is my Arrowleaf Vase by McCoy in all of its glory.

The lilacs are almost done for this spring, but they will continue to be fresh in my photograph.  I was practicing taking photos of white objects with a white background.

If you have any suggestions for taking white on white photographs, please let me know.  I must confess that I still like a bit of color to make vintage whites really look yummy.

  1. Lovely photograph. The deep colour of the flowers is perfect with the white vase and background.

  2. Mary, those lilacs are amazing. Are they really so vivid? We don't have anything like them down here! At least, I don't think we do. :)

  5. Yes, these are our "French" lilacs which are have a much deeper color than our common ones. There are hundreds of types of lilacs!

  6. They are really standing out the French lilacs!
Very nice! I ever tried white on white yet.
Not evident. Keep trying, you will get it!

  7. Gorgeous! Not a photo pro by a long shot but I have shifted the lighting around with white things until I get it right, sometimes even using back lighting.
