Viking, Capri, and Sunshine...Oh My!

My new hard drive works, the lost information is found, and the caffeine is kicking in.
GOOD MORNING!!!
We have sunshine, tulips, and blossoming trees.  These are the days we remember all year long.
I am so excited about the treasure trove of turquoise goodies I was able to list in the shop, that I do not even know where to start.  Colored glass in sunbeams is a great place, let's start there.  This Capri glass is so beautiful that I used this shot for my home page button when I spiffed up the blog.
Sometime in the 60's the Hazel Atlas Glass Company was bought by, or merged with the Continental Canning Company.  That was the time period when they made the Capri color which was used in few of their different lines.
That was the same time period when Taylor, Smith, and Taylor made their Cathay line of dinnerware.  Coincidence, I think not.

I am not going to put a bunch of individual links here in this post for these items.  If you are interested, my shop is over there on the right, and they're on the front page.  I am in the middle of setting up a whole turquoise front page, but I  was so excited I had to come over here to tell you all about these goodies first.  Blame it on the caffeine.
I was so excited when I found these Viking pieces.   I laughed, I danced, I grabbed them as fast as I could.  They're all like new, amazing!  They were even all shiny, and clean, oooohhhh.
What is it about the turquoise and the gold together that is so fabulous?  Homer Laughlin produced the same wheat with only yellow and gold with a yellow band, and it is nice.  This, though, is fabulous!
The Cavalier shape sugar bowl by Homer Laughlin just makes me want to "pinch its cheeks".

They made these for International, though why International named this pattern "Viking" we'll never know.
If I put photos for every type of piece I have it would take forever for this post to load, so here is a list.

2 Groups of 4 Teacup and Saucer Sets
2 Groups of 6 Berry Bowls
8 Bread and Butter Plates
3 Cereal Bowls
2 Vegetable Serving Bowls
Creamer and Sugar

I know!  There's just so much!
It's just so wonderful.
I hope your day is starting out with sunshine and wonderful colors!

    1. There is an Etsy widget on the right that show some of my stuff. If you click the Etsy name it takes you to Etsy. If you click my name it takes you to my shop. Thanks!

  2. Your enthusiasm is infectious! Of course, it doesn't take much for me to get amped about anything turquoise, as you probably know. I have not seen the wheat/turquoise combination in dinnerware before, but I agree it's totally swoon-worthy. When I have a moment this weekend, I'm going to check out the new pretties in your shop (and sigh dreamily, no doubt).
