Sweet Peas for Spring

This is Grandma's Birthday Teacup.  Her birthday is in April.  It is from Royal Tuscan in England.  I mentioned it in a post about my Royal Albert Birthday Teacup.  Sweet Peas are one of my favorite flowers.  In fact there is a seed packet waiting impatiently to be planted.
Her cup inspired me to embroidery this Vintage Damask Linen Napkin with a vintage pattern of sweet peas.  I used variegated pink floss for the blossoms.  There is a prettier progress photo on Flickr
This Vintage Planter was waiting its turn to be photographed for the shop when I noticed how nicely the beautiful green glaze went with the leaves on the sweet peas.  It has the best speckled glaze I have ever found.  They look like millions of tiny falling stars.
I love green, just love it.  That is one reason I like this fellow so much.  He was embroidered for my mom for Easter to go along with a Hallmark mug that has a bouquet of delicate clover on it.  How lucky she is to have her birthday in spring.
Did you spy this little treasure in the photos?  It is the smallest little treasure box being only two inches wide.  She is in the shop waiting to delight someone.  I love my job.  Making people smile is so much fun.

It's hard to stop.  While I was taking these photos, and even while typing this up, I thought of more pretty goodies I have in my personal collection and the shop that would be beautiful with Grandma's cup.  This post could go on forever!

Better yet, what do you have that would like to be friends with Grandma's cup?

Let's see what teacups inspire others this week.
