Here is the book, taking time for tea, that I won from Linda. It is full of lovely photo collages that she shared with us over at Friendship Tea.
When I opened the package tea bags sprinkled out! Thank you Linda for the chance to try a tea company that I had only read about. Our seventeen year old son and I did a "taste test" right away.
Having a nice calm discussion about tea with a teenager who is going through the mood swings, school pressures, and all that entails was a wonderful gift too.
This little teapot from China is sitting out waiting to be measured for the shop, and was begging to be in the photo too.
One of my friends here in Wisconsin was surprised that I sell vintage hankies. Since I actually use them, she thought I would keep them.
I have a simple system that I use with most of my vintage goodies. If it has major flaws, I get to keep it. If it is in great shape, it gets sold. My shop supports a special need, so it is a priority. Yet our home has all sorts of vintage accents to make it nice and cozy.
This hanky has a few small holes, so I will "Fray Check" them, and get to keep her to cheer up my days. The water color looking bouquet almost glows with color.
Do those of you who have shops have a system too?

How beautiful that teapot and hanky is! I too have a passion for dishes, I simply swoon over ALL dishes in the world. How nice you're a potter yourself, wow! I enjoyed working and designing the hand made dishes we did and I mean hand molded by potter's wheel and hand decorated as well with native designs. I've posted many other designs, if you'd like you can go back and see my fall table from last Sep. Thank you so much for your kind and lovely visit. Have a great weekend.

Enjoy the book and tea. Thanks for entering my giveaway and congratulations for winning! My dear Aunt Ida carried a hankie at all times. I always think of her when I see vintage hankies.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya, Mom Wald. My home is full of "orphans" with unfortunate flaws. My motto is "everything has a price," but if the market price is lower than its value to me....the piece stays :)
ReplyDeleteLove the handkerchief - very bright and pretty.

I think I keep the chipped and tattered also. I'm going to work on selling more of my good items. Love that sweet teapot also. hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun to win a giveaway! I love tea things too. The tea pot is so cute and we can never have too many hankies.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win! I won a give away this week.

It's a good thing I don't have a shop, because I would want to keep all the pretty things I find! :-)
