Say hello to the one of the latest additions to my shop. Even the name of the pattern is lovely, Cashmere. It is one of a few similar patterns produced by Homer Laughlin. My set has four teacups with saucers and a square salad plate to serve tea treats on.
I've come to realize how versatile this type of vintage china is. This photo is just a sample of how different pieces from different collections coordinate so well together. The vase is by Lenox in the nineties, and although the teapot is from the same era as my set it is a different company.
Vintage retro items are fun, but my first and truest dish love is "pretty". It's what I keep the longest and love the most here at our place. Even my sweet little Fenton basket goes good with Cashmere.
This pattern was so popular that Homer Laughlin put it on two different blanks. This teacup is one that I sold last year. The teacups I have now are Georgian while this cup is a Nautilus.
Spring is almost here, and I am definitely ready for some springy pastels and flowers, flowers, flowers.

Such great China, I love that pattern. Sweet!

ooooh these are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love all the pretty patterns from Homer Laughlin. I have a set called Roselane and I have really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Playing with goodies this lovely is one of the best parts of having a shop.
ReplyDeleteHey Lallee, I simply had to go look up Roselane. Does it really have daffodils? Seriously?!
I have a 95 piece set of the georgian eggshell, same pattern as above. All pieces are marked except for the tea cups. Does anyone know if that is normal?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately it is completely normal for HL pieces to be unmarked, especially items with small bases such as creamers and cups. It makes it a bit difficult for us collectors.
ReplyDelete95 pieces, I bet it's lovely!
Thank you so much, I am trying to sell the set and I wasn't sure if maybe the cups were copies even though they were all together. Thank you again
